This is a story about an X-Treme makeover. It started with brand new 2005 Chevy SSR and a 1953 Corvette grill - when we put them together it took on a life of its own and Sinister was born.
Most people would not have been so X-Treme with a limited production vehicle - Chevy stopped production of the SSR on March 17, 2006 with just over 24,000 units produced, and that's the day I made the first cut. But Sinister was begging to be Old Skool - so Old Skool he is. A Rat Rod with a warranty - an X-Rod!
Sinister's body mods are hand-formed steel, from the frenched-in headlights to the extended hood, from the shaved door handles to the frenched-in 59 Caddy taillights and Maltese Cross third brakelight. Take a look at the transformation in progress:

Red interior and Colorado Custom Boulders in 20"s and 22"s came next.
A one-off intake was built for the LS2 engine which used 8 throttle bodies disguised as 97 Strombergs.
Sinister is still evolving - what will we do neXt?
